Bear just turned one in June, and is full of puppy energy! Bear LOVES to play fetch and also loves to be snuggled. He has a sweet demeanor and is a quick learner. Bear can sit, lay down, come and has worked really hard on potty training, he is about 90% there. Bear gets along well with children and other dogs as long as they have a passive personality. Bear likes to be the boss, so he would not be a good fit in a family that already has a very dominant dog. He would do best as the only dog or with smaller breed dogs. Bear had a rough start in life and found himself being picked up as a stray by the local animal services. Bear contracted Parvo once at the shelter and had to fight for his life. The shelter staff gave Bear lots of extra love and attention and referred to him as their “love bug”. Bear is healthy now and didn’t let his struggles get him down, he is still a very happy, playful and loving guy. Bear is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and heart worm negative. Bear is thought to be a cocker spaniel mix, he is about 20lbs and chocolate in color.
