Xena was rescued from the Caddo Parish Animal Shelter completely emaciated, with the worst case of mange that we had ever seen.  She spent a lot of time at the vet due to all of her skin issues, along with secondary infections from neglect.  Upon her release, we continued to give her medicated baths, oral meds and lots of food and LOVE.  The rest is history.  Xena is a little over a year old and a playful girl.  She has been in a training program where she has learned all her basic manners and some advanced skills.  She is an affectionate girl and loves every human, dog and cat she meets.  She is a all-around fun dog and would make a great running, hiking partner.
