Groot is a beautiful young adult dog . He is believed to be just a little over a year old. He came to us in horrid condition from our local animal control. He was covered in Demodex mange with a secondary infection. Now that he is healed you wont believe the before pictures! He has come so far! He is a good boy- 100% kennel trained, no accidents in the house so far, and he sits on command. Groot would do best as a only dog or with a submissive female/no male dogs. He would be a great companion for an active family. He loves to play fetch and he is very treat motivated. We would not suggest homes with young children due to his energy level.  He is neutered, heartworm negative with a Proheart 6, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped. He is so ready to find his forever family! Groot is currently in a foster home in Shreveport, LA. We adopt often to the Northeast and use Pets LLC for transport. Once an application is approved, we will arrange to speak by phone and explain our process further.
